Early 2022-23 NBA Predictions On Top 3 Seeds in Each Conference

Early 2022-23 NBA Predictions On Top 3 Seeds in Each Conference

In view of the most recent signings and rumors across the entire league, it is high time we started our way-too-early power rankings for the 2022-2023 NBA season. While many familiar names are taking part in this list, it is unquestionable that some teams will pleasantly surprise us with their performance. The top three teams from each conference are in this ranking, with their respective record prediction for this upcoming year.

Eastern Conference:

Boston Celtics

The NBA finalists are not close to giving up whatsoever. They all have the tools and talent to be among the favorites to win the title this season. Despite the lack of signings/trades by the team’s front office, their current roster is more than capable of making a solid playoff run. However, the rest of the teams in their conference have the upper hand when it comes to experience and bench rotation, which could hinder Boston’s progress.

RECORD PREDICTION: 56 WINS – 26 LOSSES

Philadelphia 76ers

While the Philadelphia team’s performance this last year was below expectations (especially in the playoffs), it seems they are no longer in the rebuilding stage they underwent throughout the better part of the 21-22 season. Additionally, James Harden finally appears to be committed to the team, which is a positive omen for them while awaiting the start of next season.

RECORD PREDICTION: 59 WINS – 23 LOSSES

Milwaukee Bucks

Even though Antetokounmpo is the main reason the Bucks are on this list, the 2021 NBA Champions are much more than just Giannis and company. They have already gained the necessary experience to be among the finest teams in the league, and this upcoming season will not be the exception. However, their dominance may not be as perceivable anymore, which will make it more difficult for them to conquer the Eastern Conference with an edge.

RECORD PREDICTION: 61 WINS – 21 LOSSES

Western Conference:

Golden State Warriors

The Warriors’ winning streak is nowhere near the end, as they now face the next season with an even more versatile roster, especially in terms of their younger players. Furthermore, the superiority they had in these last playoffs series indicated that their great performances were not fleeting, and their chances of being back-to-back champions are pretty high.

Phoenix Suns

Despite their disappointing, subpar performance in last year’s postseason, the Phoenix Suns are still a strong candidate for the Larry O’Brien trophy. Not only are they a balanced, well-prepared team, but they also tend to be an excellent team for the regular season, which will allow them to clinch an advantageous seed for the playoffs. Hopefully, their recent loss will serve as a morale boost for the Valley team.

RECORD PREDICTION: 62 WINS – 20 LOSSES

Los Angeles Clippers

With the news of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George finally cleared to play, the Los Angeles Clippers deserve a spot on this list. On top of that, since a fully healthy John Wall recently joined their roster, the Clippers are becoming one of the most talented teams in the league. Although their performance level is uncertain, to say the least, it is safe to say that the Los Angeles team will have a great season.

RECORD PREDICTION: 56 WINS – 26 LOSSES

All of these six teams are among the best of the best, and they definitely have a fruitful season ahead of them, with increased chances of competing for the title. Of course, since there are only six teams here, many skilled, talented teams are not part of this power ranking, but that does not mean they are not contenders for the NBA championship, let alone an unfavorable year. Having said this, which teams will you add to the list?
