Some 2022 NBA Offseason Moves We’d Still Like To See

The bulk of the NBA offseason has been basically over, from a transaction standpoint, but that doesn’t mean they can’t happen… There are still a lot of moves that fans are waiting on like Kevin Durant or Kyrie Irving potentially getting traded.

Let’s get into some potential moves we’d like to still see,..

Donovan Mitchell Trade

It looks like the Jazz could be heading towards a rebuild. One way to start doing so would be to trade their franchise player in Donovan Mitchell. Mitchell has been linked to the Knicks for a bit and it’s possible we could see a trade very soon between the Jazz and Knicks.

A potential package of Obi Toppin, Quentin Grimes, Cam Reddish, and multiple firsts could be enough to entice the Jazz.

Pacers extending Turner or Trading Him

It’s kind of hard to figure out what the Pacers will do with Turner. On one hand, they’ve publicly chased after his replacement in Deandre Ayton, and the other hand, they’ve talked about keeping him. Turner is still relatively young at 26 and could be a part of the Pacers rebuild if they do decide to extend him.

Lakers decision on Russell Westbrook

Do the Lakers actually plan on going into the season with Russell Westbrook or will they genuinely make a serious run at Kyrie Irving? It’s still hard to tell. They seem unwilling to give up first round picks, but it might be needed at this point.

Westbrook doesn’t fit that team and that offense and it’s best to move on from him now while you can.

Collin Sexton Joining Mavericks in Sign & Trade

Collin Sexton is still looking for a home and honestly, one of the biggest surprises of this off-season. It’s probably best he goes to a team that will allow him to score and need him to be a scorer. Enter the Mavericks. After the loss of Jalen Brunson, Sexton could come in and fill that role immediately.

He doesn’t need to get others involved, but more of be that instant offense for the Dallas Mavericks. A sign and trade with the Cavaliers and Mavericks could get very interesting.
