NBA 2023-2024 Best Player Per Position

Twelve games have gone by in the 2023-2024 NBA season. With this, we have already seen some shocking surprises at the start of the year.

Competition among all 30 NBA teams is harder than ever, and many unexpected players have risen to the occasion, proving what they’re capable of. Having said this, who are the best players per each position this season? Let us list them.

GUARDS

Stephen Curry

NBA 2023-2024 Best Player Per Position

This is, without a doubt, one of the most challenging positions to rank, as many players have exceeded expectations so far this season. However, Stephen Curry’s dominance and the value he brings to his team are unprecedented.

Despite the Golden State Warriors struggling to win games and to find consistency as a whole, Curry’s magnificent performance every single game is not something to pass over. With 11 games played, he is averaging 30.7 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and a three-point percentage of 44.6% this season. Numbers that resemble his unanimous MVP year.

Luka Doncic

NBA 2023-2024 Best Player Per Position

The 24-year-old Dallas Mavericks superstar just continues to improve as his career progresses, now finding himself among the top three candidates for the MVP this 2023-24 NBA season. his versatility and offensive capabilities are beyond impressive this year.

With an improved roster, Dallas has a great chance of clinching a playoff spot this season. So far, they hold a record of nine wins and three losses, with Luka averaging 30.7 Points, 7.8 rebounds, and 8.1 assists per game. Not to mention 42% from the three and 50.2% in his field goals. A true surprise.

FORWARDS

Kevin Durant

NBA 2023-2024 Best Player Per Position

Finally able to find consistency individually, as well as with the Phoenix Suns, Kevin Durant is still showing in his 16th NBA season why he is one of the best forwards in the league right now, but also in league history.

Trying to win it all with the Valley Team, Durant is averaging 30.8 Points, 7.2 Rebounds, and 5.1 assists so far this year. Incredible numbers for him. Providing he maintains this pace and play style throughout most of the season and stays injury-free, he will, without a doubt, still be a part of this list.

Giannis Antetokounmpo

The Milwaukee Bucks franchise player has a pretty good shot at the NBA championship this year. Even though he’s not currently among the top candidates for the MVP, he’s still the best player at his position, being very consistent on both sides of the court.

Fortunately, the Bucks are starting to regain confidence and find even more consistency as every game goes by. We expect them to be at the top of the Eastern Conference once again this season.

CENTER

Nikola Jokic

Jokic does not Cease to surprise every single year he plays basketball. He either leads or is among the top players in pretty much every single statistic. Once again, this year, Jokić is averaging 29.7 Points, 14.1 rebounds, and 9.2 assists per game thus far, with an incredible 57.3% from the field goal and a plus-minus of 10.4 per game.

At this rate, he is well on his way to winning the third MVP of his career and quite possibly another championship with the Denver Nuggets since they are looking and showing they are the most consistent team in the league right now.

Unsurprisingly, this starting five was one of the hardest we have had to make, as many other players can have strong arguments to be on this list. The clearest examples are Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey, who is one of the most surprising players so far.

However, due to position limitations and the fact we are only 12 games into the season, these five extraordinary players have no reason to not be on this list at the time of this article. We hope nothing for the best for the remainder of this year.
