Jalen Green & Houston Rockets Are Pushing Towards a Play-In Spot

The Houston Rockets have won 10 games in a row and have been on an absolute roll. They’ve got wins over the Kings, Cavaliers, and Thunder while doing so. Not only that, they’ve done it behind the spectacular play of their young star in Jalen Green.

Jalen Green has averaged 29.8 PPG, 6.5 RPG, 3.9 APG while shooting efficiently (51% FG and 45.9% 3PT) during this 10 game win span for the Rockets.

This is what the Rockets were looking forward to when they drafted Jalen Green. He’s showcased his explosiveness to the basket while shooting efficiently. The one thing I’ve always critiqued Green of was his shot selection, but he’s getting to the basket and converting consistently the past 10 games or so. Even when taking a questionable shot, he’s converting them… he’s upped his game that much.

They’re currently 1 game away from the 10th seed and competing for a play-in game. If they can get ahead either the Lakers or Warriors for a spot, they’re going to be a tough matchup in the play-in tournament.

It will be an interesting story line to watch out for to see if the Rockets can create some noise prior to the playoffs, it will be the first time they make the playoffs since 2020.
