3 Takeaways from the NBA 1st Round Playoffs So Far

The NBA playoffs have started this past week and it has not disappointed one bit so far. It’s been every bit of entertaining that we expected it to be and more. Let’s get into some takeaways from the first round of the NBA playoffs so far…

Bucks are here to show NO mercy and I love it…

The Bucks are here to show no mercy to their opponents in the playoffs and I love every bit of it. Seeing Giannis and the Bucks destroy the Heat and absolutely thrash every bit of confidence they could have of winning the game makes me happy. No, I’m not a Bucks fan or anything, but I do want to see Giannis compete for a ring and a championship finally.

The Bucks struggled to shoot in the first game of the series vs the Heat and still ended up winning. The Heat outscored the Bucks by 45 points from three-point land and the Bucks still prevailed. The Bucks are here to stay and will be a nightmare to play against. Jrue Holiday has looked every bit worth what the Bucks decided to pay this past offseason for the All-Star caliber defensive PG. Watch out for the Bucks because they’re coming…

Luka has been the best player in the Playoffs so far…

Everyone knows who’s going to have the ball in their hands and who’s going to take the shots and a defensive team like the Clippers can’t stop him still. Luka without a doubt in my opinion has been the best player in the playoffs this year for sure. He’s averaging 35 PPG, 8.5 RPG, and 9 APG while shooting insanely efficient from all areas in the playoffs so far. He’s put on a show every game so far against the Clippers and it’s led them to be ahead 2-0. Even with defensive star wings like Kawhi and Paul George attempting to guard Luka, he is still putting up insane numbers.

Luka has arrived and it’s time we start recognizing him as a top 5 player in the league. As I always say, you show how good you are in the regular season, but how great you are in the playoffs. Luka is showing everyone how great he really is.

Jokic is the MVP without a doubt…

I know playoffs don’t help determine the MVP race or who is the MVP, but Jokic has definitely engraved his case for MVP with amazing play so far. He’s averaging an insane 36 PPG, 11.6 RPG, and 3.7 APG so far for the Nuggets. The other players on the Nuggets like MPJ and Aaron Gordon are averaging 19 PPG and 14 PPG respectively, but Jokic is on another level. The Nuggets are up 2-1 vs the TrailBlazers and Jokic has been literally unstoppable.

Jokic without Jamal Murray is still being able to carry the Nuggets to being up 2-1 vs a really good team in the Trailblazers. I’m pretty excited to see how this series will end up playing out…
