The NBA is more deep on talent than it has ever been in the leagues history. The league is also incredibly unpredictable with championship contenders being formed within two-three years. The Brooklyn Nets are a prime example of this. Three season ago the Nets were viewed as a frisky young team and now they are the favorites to win the NBA title.
In order to put an actual measurement of time on these rankings I ranked these teams over who will have the most success over the next six years. I rated each team based on five categories but ultimately the rankings came down to who will have the most success. The five categories are…
Championship Potential which is simply the odds they could win a championship in the next six years.
Star Power is a rating based on the teams star power as of today not what their star power could be.
Under 28 Talent is a rating based on what talent under 28 they have on the roster but also if any of that talent can blossom into stars.
Draft Capitol is a rating based on how many picks the team has over the next six years and also how valuable those picks are. A team with only their own picks and no top picks earns a rating of 5.
Franchise Structure is how I rated everything about the team that isn’t the players. Coach, front office, and free agency attractiveness all play into this rating.
30. Detroit Pistons
Championship Potential: 1/10
The NBA changes too fast to give any team a zero rating but Detroit is not winning the title.
Star Power: 0/10
Jerami Grant made a leap this year but by no means is he a star or will he ever be on that level.
Under 28 Talent: 3/10
A year ago Killian Hayes was my top ranked prospect before the draft and the potential is still there. Outside of Hayes, Saddiq Bey and Sekou Doumbouya both have good chances of being quality players.
Draft Capitol: 7/10
Detroit is giving it’s next bad draft pick to the Houston Rockets but outside that it has all of it’s own picks. Detroit also gets points because their pick this year should result in Cade Cunningham.
Franchise Structure: 3/10
Neither the coach or front office are the worst in the league but both Dwane Casey and the front office are in the bottom tier of the league.
29. Cleveland Cavaliers
Championship Potential: 2/10
LeBron James and his son come back to Cleveland. That is worth two points but outside of that Cleveland is not on championship watch.
Star Power: 1/10
I am NOT a Collin Sexton fan but scoring 24 points a game is worth a point.
Under 28 Talent: 2/10
My favorite under 28 player on the Cleveland roster is Darius Garland but even between him, Sexton, Allen, and Okoro there is not too much star potential.
Draft Capitol: 6/10
Cleveland is not receiving or giving any first round picks but they will be picking in the lottery for years to come with plenty of opportunities to find talent.
Franchise Structure: 2/10
Cleveland made the finals four straight years but yet the franchise deserves no credit for that besides allowing LeBron to come back. Cleveland is still a poorly ran franchise.
28. Toronto Raptors
Championship Potential: 2/10
Five or six years ago it seemed as if the Toronto Raptors had a stale roster and seemed that their championship chances were over. Fast forward to 2019 and the Toronto Raptors are NBA champions. The Raptors not only need to find another Kawhi Leonard type player but they also they need to totally redo their roster.
Star Power: 2/10
On Siakam’s best days he is a low level all star but even that is a stretch. This season Siakam was just not good and yet again the Toronto Raptors do not have a star.
Under 28 Talent: 2/10
Currently on the roster Toronto has Pascal Siakam, Fred VanVleet, Gary Trent, and OG Anunoby. All of those players are solid but are not NBA all stars.
Draft Capitol: 6/10
Toronto owns all of their own picks and this year their pick will be number four overall.
Franchise Structure: 7/10
Canada is not extremely attractive as a free agent destination but Nick Nurse is a top four coach in the league and Toronto has one of the best front offices around including Masai Ujiri.
27. Houston Rockets
Championship Potential: 3/10
Houston only gets three points because they have the number two overall pick and a good city to find talent in.
Star Power: 2/10
The only thing the Rockets have resembling a star is Christian Wood but he is not that.
Under 28 Talent: 3/10
Christian Wood, Kevin Porter, and whoever their first round pick is an interesting young tandem that could do damage in a couple years.
Draft Capitol: 7/10
The Rockets are missing two or three of their own picks in the next six years. Houston is also receiving a truck load of picks from Brooklyn. On top of the Brooklyn picks the Rockets are also receiving first round picks from Milwaukee and Detroit. With so many outgoing and incoming draft picks it is nearly impossible to predict what quality picks Houston will have.
Franchise Structure: 5/10
Houston is a semi attractive free agent destination and they have a very good young coach in Stephen Silas.
26. Indiana Pacers
Championship Potential: 2/10
Indiana has a good roster but it looks like it is moving in the wrong direction in competing for the title.
Star Power: 3/10
Domantas Sabonis is underrated and actually very good but he is not a top 30 player yet, because of this he only gets three points.
Under 28 Talent: 2/10
Brogdon, Sabonis, LeVert, Warren, and Turner are all good players but it is still hard to find the player that elevates this team to contenders.
Draft Capitol: 5/10
Nothing special about Indiana’s picks in the next six years but the could soon start picking in the lottery more frequently.
Franchise Structure: 5/10
Indiana hired a great coach in Rick Carlisle but Indiana is not known for being a free agent attraction either. What Indiana does have going for them is a good front office that consistently has the Pacers in the playoffs.
25. Orlando Magic
Championship Potential: 1/10
There are good players that will be in the next couple drafts so I will not say it is impossible for the Magic to compete in the later years of this time period but it remains far fetched.
Star Power: 1/10
Arguably the Magic’s two best players both missed this whole season this year both with major injuries. Even when Jonathon Isaac and Markelle Fultz are healthy they are not yet stars.
Under 28 Talent: 3/10
The Orlando Magic have a whole bunch of C+ talent. Jonathon Isaac, Markelle Fultz, Terrence Ross, Chuma Okeke, Mo Bamba, Wendell Carter, Otto Porter, Cole Anthony, and RJ Hampton all combine for three points.
Draft Capitol: 8/10
This is where the Magic’s future gets exciting. Those players listed all have good futures and on top of that Orlando is getting two good first round picks from Chicago and another first from Denver.
Franchise Structure: 4/10
Orlando currently has a first time head coach and a bad front office the only thing it has working for it, is that Florida is a good free agent destination.
24. Washington Wizards
Championship Potential: 2/10
Any team with two stars can not be ruled out from a title. It is a shame that the Wizards only have one.
Star Power: 6/10
Bradley Beal is incredible and not yet 28. Westbrook is a great regular season player but he is not a championship contending player.
Under 28 Talent: 5/10
Bradley Beal is what gets most of these points but the Wizards also have the trio of Deni Avdija, Daniel Gafford, and Rui Hachimura.
Draft Capitol: 4/10
The Wizards own all of their picks besides a lottery protected pick in 2023.
Franchise Structure: 3/10
The Wizards have a bad history of making bad moves. Washington is not yet in a terrible situation but it will take luck and a lot of moves to become true contenders.
23. Sacramento Kings
Championship Potential: 2/10
Sacramento has not been a true contender for 20 years and nothing right now shows that will change. With a lack of direction and front office, the 23 spot on this list may be overrating them.
Star Power: 2/10
De’Aaron Fox is nearing the level of a star but I am still not 100% convinced he is there yet. Because the indecisiveness he gets two stars.
Under 28 Talent: 4/10
Not many teams have a young duo that can match the talent of Fox and Haliburton but outside of them it is just a potential bust in Marvin Bagley.
Draft Capitol: 5/10
Unlike the past Sacramento has all of their picks. The problem is that Sacramento has picked in the lottery for the past decade and only have one good player to show for it (Fox).
Franchise Structure: 2/10
As alluded to above, the problem with this team is not the roster or the city, it is the incompetent front office. In order for Sacramento to start making a mark on the league changes need to start from within.
22. Minnesota Timberwolves
Championship Potential: 3/10
Once upon a time Karl Anthony-Towns was voted the player that most GM’s would start their team with. Times have changed and the only chance the Timberwolves have at competing for titles is if Towns makes a true leap.
Star Power: 4/10
Karl Anthony-Towns has proven he is not a superstar but he still is a star. On the other side D’Angelo Russell has proven he is not a star but instead something below that. The last star candidate the Timberwolves have is Anthony Edwards. Edwards was good this year but he is not quite at that level yet.
Under 28 Talent: 5/10
Towns, Edwards, Beasley, Russell, and Okogie headline an impressive young roster for Minnesota. The problem for the Timberwolves is so far even with all of the talent they have they still can not translate it to wins.
Draft Capitol: 5/10
The Timberwolves owe one of these next two draft picks to Golden State as part of that terrible D’Angelo Russell trade. Minnesota NEEDS to draft a star with one of their draft picks within the next two seasons.
Franchise Structure: 2/10
Similar to Sacramento the biggest thing holding the Wolves back is a bad coach (Chris Finch) and a poor front office.
21. Chicago Bulls
Championship Potential: 3/10
This is where the list starts to get better. Chicago can never be counted out because of the history and attractiveness of the city. Chicago currently has two all stars and still managed to miss the playoffs.
Star Power: 4/10
Zach LaVine is a top 35 player in the league and his offensive ability can go toe to toe with anyone in the league. Outside of LaVine the only star is Nikola Vucevic who has struggled since he arrived in Chicago via a mid season trade.
Under 28 Talent: 6/10
Zach LaVine, Patrick Williams, Coby White, and Lauri Markkanen, all are good young players but Chicago needs to land one more really good player before they consider themselves players again.
Draft Capitol: 3/10
Chicago is giving up two first round picks to Orlando including a valuable pick this year.
Franchise Structure: 7/10
Chicago is not expertly ran by any means but they have a good coach (Billy Donovan) and have an attractive free agent city.
20. Charlotte Hornets
Championship Potential: 3/10
LaMelo Ball is the modern version of Jason Kidd. Jason Kidd made the finals twice so we can’t rule out a Charlotte finals run in the near future.
Star Power: 2/10
LaMelo is teetering on being a star and he has only played one season in the NBA. On top of that Gordon Hayward is still a very solid player that helps a team in similar ways as a star.
Under 28 Talent: 5/10
Ball, Rozier, Washington, Bridges, and Monk all are talented young players that resemble a mold for a team with a bright future.
Draft Capitol: 5/10
Nothing interesting in Charlotte they own all of their own picks and are receiving none.
Franchise Structure: 4/10
James Borrego has proven to be a competent coach and in recent years Charlotte has done a good job drafting in recent years. They drop points in this category because over his tenure Jordan has done a poor job running the Hornets.
19. San Antonio Spurs
Championship Potential: 3/10
Never rule out a San Antonio title run but at the same time the likeliness is low.
Star Power: 1/10
DeMar DeRozan is good but he is not a star. Not only is DeRozan not a star but he is also a free agent this summer and will likely leave the Alamo city.
Under 28 Talent: 3/10
The Spurs under 28 talent is full of C+ players. Dejounte Murray, Derrick White, Devin Vassell, Keldon Johnson, Lonnie Walker, Jakob Poeltl, and Luka Samanic all are players with potential but non jump off the page.
Draft Capitol: 5/10
The Spurs like usual have no extra picks coming in and are also not shipping any picks out.
Franchise Structure: 8/10
There is no better overall ran organization in all of basketball than the San Antonio Spurs. If Popovich stays the head coach and RC Bufford stays in charge of the front office then the Spurs will always have a good chance to make the playoffs.
18. Oklahoma City Thunder
Championship Potential: 3/10
The Thunder’s potential lays within their assets. I believe the Thunder will be title contenders but I am not yet sure if that will be within the next six years.
Star Power: 3/10
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is one of those most talented young players in the league and is already entering stardom territory.
Under 28 Talent: 4/10
I love the Thunder’s roster. SGA, Dort, Pokusevski, Maledon, and Darius Bazley are entertaining young players that will headline Sam Presti’s future team.
Draft Capitol: 10/10
Oklahoma City has sixteen first round picks within the next six years. The true value of those picks will be all over the place but Sam Presti has a track record of being a great drafter so these picks should turn into good players.
Franchise Structure: 7/10
Sam Presti is arguably the best GM in the league. If your team has someone like this you will always have a chance to win.
17. Memphis Grizzlies
Championship Potential: 3/10
The Grizzlies have a great young team but they are yet to get “the guy” so it is hard to give the Grizzlies more than three points.
Star Power: 4/10
Ja Morant is starting to break into the star tier and Jaren Jackson is a young star in his own right.
Under 28 Talent: 6/10
Ja Morant headlines the group of young players like Dillon Brooks, Jaren Jackson, Brandon Clarke, and Kyle Anderson.
Draft Capitol: 6/10
Memphis owns all of their own pick plus future firsts from Golden State and Utah. Although those pick will not be ultra valuable, they are assets the Grizzlies can use.
Franchise Structure: 6/10
Memphis is the new Spurs. A good coach (Taylor Jenkins) and a good front office should allow the Grizzlies to stay competitive for a while.
16. Portland Trail Blazers
Championship Potential: 4/10
Out of all of the top 20 teams I have the least amount of faith for Portland’s future. The reason Portland is still so high is because Damian Lillard is elite, and elite is not easy to find in the NBA.
Star Power: 7/10
There are eleven elite players in the league and Damian Lillard is one of them. On top of that the Blazers also have inconsistent star CJ McCollum.
Under 28 Talent: 2/10
Under 28 the talent on the roster is very bleak. Collins is injured too much, Simons is too inconsistent, and Nasir Little has yet to receive significant minutes.
Draft Capitol: 4/10
Portland will be without their first round pick this year from their Robert Covington trade last season. If Portland wants to make use of the Damian Lillard years they will either have to nail these draft picks or trade them for players that can help.
Franchise Structure: 5/10
The Trail Blazers are well ran but they have struggled to use their assets right and have struggled because of that. Also worth noting that Portland just hired a new coach in Chauncey Billups which could lead them either way.
15. Miami Heat
Championship Potential: 5/10
Miami has the potential for a championship because it has the superstar allure. Pat Riley loves his stars and whenever one becomes available Riley will try to get them in any way possible..
Star Power: 5/10
Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler are true stars. Both are players that any team would want come playoff time and if they can get just one more star then Miami may be hosting another parade.
Under 28 Talent: 6/10
Bam Adebayo headlines this group. The 24 year old is the perfect swiss army knife. Outside of Bam all they really have is Tyler Herro, which had a terrible sophomore season.
Draft Capitol: 4/10
Miami is missing a couple of draft picks in the next couple years but Pat Riley usually doesn’t operate with first round picks anyway.
Franchise Structure: 8/10
As stated earlier, Pat Riley is the best in the business when it comes to bringing in star talent. On top of that Erik Spoelstra is still a top eight coach in the NBA.
14. Utah Jazz
Championship Potential: 6/10
Any team that has a superstar has a chance to win the title. Donovan Mitchell has stepped his game to that level so now it is up to Utah to build around him.
Star Power: 7/10
Donovan Mitchell is a SUPERSTAR. This postseason Mitchell has elevated a level and proven to be amongst the leagues best. Not only that but Utah also has Rudy Gobert a proven star.
Under 28 Talent: 6/10
The only talent that Utah has on the roster under 28 is Donovan Mitchell, but honestly that might be enough.
Draft Capitol: 4/10
Utah owns all of their picks besides one they still owe to Memphis from the Mike Conley trade.
Franchise Structure: 6/10
Utah is well ran and Quin Snyder is truly one of the best coaches in the league.
13. New York Knicks
Championship Potential: 7/10
The Knicks title odds, like usual, lie within their ability to recruit. If the Knicks can acquire a superstar or two stars to add onto their team, then they have a true chance at a title.
Star Power: 4/10
The Knicks currently have Julius Randle which three weeks ago was an undeniable star. Despite the horrendous playoffs I would still consider Randle a star and he is definitely worth four points.
Under 28 Talent: 5/10
The Knicks have a talented young core with Randle, Barrett, Toppin, Quickley, and Robinson all showing signs of being really good NBA players.
Draft Capitol: 7/10
New York owns all of their own picks and two of Dallas’ picks still remaining from the Kristaps Porzingis trade. If they play their cards right then New York should be able to turn their assets into stars.
Franchise Structure: 7/10
James Dolan is still a major problem as the owner. Outside of him everything is pretty solid. Tom Thibedeau is a good NBA coach and the front office is finally being ran by competent people.
12. Los Angeles Clippers
Championship Potential: 7/10
Any team with Kawhi Leonard has to be near the top of the list because of his incredible ability to win. The problem is the Clippers have had a tough time building around him and there is no guarantee he will even be back next season.
Star Power: 8/10
As stated earlier Kawhi Leonard is a top five player in the NBA and that has a massive impact on the ranking. And although Paul George always seems to struggle in the playoffs he is still a star and should be able to help Kawhi get a championship.
Under 28 Talent: 0/10
Terrance Mann has been pretty good in the playoffs but besides him, they have almost zero under 28 talent.
Draft Capitol: 2/10
The Paul George, Kawhi Leonard trade almost completely gutted the Clippers draft chess. If the Clippers succeed in the next six years then it will be because of the roster they have made not because of the draft.
Franchise Structure: 8/10
I still question Tyronn Lue’s coaching ability but the team is still very well run. Steve Ballmer is a great NBA owner and any franchise with Jerry West in it will compete.
11. New Orleans Pelicans
Championship Potential: 7/10
The Pelicans championship hopes hinge on one thing, Zion Williamson. Zion is that good that if he is at the top of his game, the Pelicans will have a chance to win it all. There are already rumors of Zion’s disgruntlement and if that causes a separation, back to the bottom of the list Zion goes.
Star Power: 6/10
Zion Williamson is the closest someone can be to a superstar without yet being one. While Zion is a high level star, Brandon Ingram is a low level star.
Under 28 Talent: 7/10
Zion should be enough but even outside of him they have Ingram, Ball, Adams, Hayes, Kira Lewis, and Nickeil Alexander-Walker. If one of those players develops into a star the Pelicans will be competing for titles soon.
Draft Capitol: 8/10
The Pelicans have managed to build a decent roster while also acquiring a lot of draft picks. Unlike OKC most of the Pelicans picks’ suck. The Lakers and Bucks both owe a lot of picks to New Orleans from the Anthony Davis and Jrue Holiday trades.
Franchise Structure: 5/10
As of today New Orleans has no coach but David Griffin is a good GM and I believe he will surround Zion right.
10. Atlanta Hawks
Championship Potential: 5/10
Trae Young has showed that he is capable of being an NBA superstar. Atlanta made a surprising playoff run and made the conference finals. If the Hawks are able to add another star in the next couple years then Atlanta will be competing for titles.
Star Power: 6/10
Similar to Zion, Trae Young is a top level star but he has yet to crack superstardom. Trae Young inevitably will become a superstar it is only a matter of time.
Under 28 Talent: 7/10
The Hawks have a good young group with Trae Young, De’Andre Hunter, John Collins, Clint Capela, Kevin Huerter, Cameron Reddish, and Onyeka Okongwu. If one of Hunter, Huerter, Reddish, or Okongwu can become a true star then Atlanta may be set.
Draft Capitol: 6/10
Atlanta owns all of their own picks and possibly could add Oklahoma City’s pick next year if the Thunder make the playoffs.
Franchise Structure: 6/10
Everything about the Hawks franchise is above average. Atlanta is an above average city, Nate McMillan is an above average coach, and Travis Schlenk is an above average executive. Above average is good but is it enough to win a title?
9. Phoenix Suns
Championship Potential: 6/10
Devin Booker is a superstar. If you have a superstar in the NBA you have a real chance at an NBA title. Booker will need some help to win a title but that help may already be on the talented Phoenix roster. I give the Suns a 6 because of the roster, but they are currently only 2 games away from the title.
Star Power: 7/10
As stated earlier Devin Booker is a superstar. Outside of Booker the Suns have an aging star in Chris Paul and a budding star in former first overall pick DeAndre Ayton.
Under 28 Talent: 7/10
Booker and Ayton are joined by Mikal Bridges, Cameron Johnson, Cameron Payne, Dario Saric, and Jalen Smith make up one of the best young cores in the league. Not only is it a great young core but also that roster resembles that of a great supporting cast to a championship team.
Draft Capitol: 4/10
The Suns will owe next years pick to Oklahoma City still from the Chris Paul trade which was a small price to pay for a culture change.
Franchise Structure: 5/10
The Suns traditionally have a poor front office but as of recent they have built a very nice roster. On top of that the Suns have a top ten coach in the league in Monty Williams.
8. Boston Celtics
Championship Potential: 7/10
A seven out of ten seems ambitious but owning two top 30 two way players under 25 should give you a really good shot at a title.
Star Power: 7/10
Jaylen Brown is a true star and Jayson Tatum is knocking on the door of superstardom. The Celtics just lost a potential star in Kemba Walker but those two still are incredible on both sides of the floor.
Under 28 Talent: 8/10
Outside of the two stars the Celtics have Robert Williams, Marcus Smart, Payton Pritchard, Romeo Langford, Aaron Nesmith, and newly acquired Moses Brown. Not too much talent wise but there is some potential with the young guys.
Draft Capitol: 4/10
The Celtics own all of their first round picks but they did just give up the 16th pick in order to get off Kemba Walker.
Franchise Structure: 7/10
A seven is probably too high with a new front office. Also Boston is not a great free agency city, wait ok it’s a five now. Outside of that I believe Brad Stevens extremely smart and will figure it out.
7. Golden State Warriors
Championship Potential: 7/10
The splash bros, Draymond, and Steve Kerr should NEVER be counted out of a championship. Age is not on their side but if they are healthy they will always be in the conversation.
Star Power: 9/10
Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green, is there much more to say about their stardom.
Under 28 Talent: 2/10
There’s not much youth on this roster. James Wiseman is the guy with the most potential and they have Jordan Poole and JTA.
Draft Capitol: 7/10
Golden State is giving one of their future picks to Memphis but they are also getting a very valuable first round pick from Minnesota. If Minnesota utilizes this pick wisely then they could create another dynasty.
Franchise Structure: 8/10
Steve Kerr is an elite coach, Bob Myers is an elite executive, and San Francisco is an elite city.
6. Brooklyn Nets
Championship Potential: 9/10
They just were eliminated but any team with Kevin Durant, James Harden, and Kyrie Irving should win a championship.
Star Power: 10/10
KD, Harden, and Irving… if that is not a ten I don’t know what is.
Under 28 Talent: 1/10
Bruce Brown and Landry Shamet are nice young guys but they aren’t gonna be stars.
Draft Capitol: 1/10
The Nets gutted their picks in order to make this team and every single one of them should be worth it if they do what they should.
Franchise Structure: 6/10
The Nets have slowly become a good franchise. Nash is a good coach and New York is a great city.
5. Los Angeles Lakers
Championship Potential: 7/10
Seven may seem too high but I do not believe LeBron James is done. If LeBron James and Anthony Davis are healthy on the same roster then they have a great chance to when the title.
Star Power: 8/10
Again LeBron James and Anthony Davis are incredible and have to give you eight points.
Under 28 Talent: 3/10
Caruso, Horton-Tucker, Kuzma are all meh. The only reason they get three points is because Anthony Davis is only 28 so he’s close enough to give a couple points.
Draft Capitol: 3/10
The Lakers are missing draft picks because of the deal that acquired Anthony Davis which has already proven to be worth it.
Franchise Structure: 8/10
The Lakers are still the Lakers. The allure for free agents to come to the Lakers and that has to be incorporated into the points. On top of that Frank Vogel is one of the best coaches in the NBA.
4. Dallas Mavericks
Championship Potential: 8/10
Any team with Luka Doncic has to be considered for a title. Starting soon Doncic will be a perennial title contender.
Star Power: 7/10
Luka is the only star that Dallas has but him alone is worth seven points.
Under 28 Talent: 8/10
Jalen Brunson and Kristaps are cool but Luka gives them all these points. If the Mavericks can add another star then the league needs to watch out.
Draft Capitol: 3/10
Dallas is losing two first round to New York from the Kristaps trade two years ago.
Franchise Structure: 7/10
Mark Cuban is a good owner and Dallas is a good free agent city. With that being said Jason Kidd does not have an amazing record coaching record so far in his career.
3. Milwaukee Bucks
Championship Potential: 8/10
Giannis is incredible and he is surrounded with good talent. Not only does Milwaukee have a good future but they have a real chance to win the title this season.
Star Power: 9/10
Giannis is a top ten player in the NBA, that is undeniable. On top of that, the Bucks have two more stars in Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton.
Under 28 Talent: 8/10
Giannis is one of the best young players in the league so that is worth seven points. I’ll say DiVincenzo is worth one point.
Draft Capitol: 2/10
The Bucks are missing a lot of draft picks because of what it took to get Jrue Holiday.
Franchise Structure: 7/10
Milwaukee seems to be a well ran franchise now. The city is not a good free agent destination but they have a good front office and a top ten coach in the league.
2. Philadelphia 76ers
Championship Potential: 8/10
This year was yet another failure. There are real questions about what the fit is between Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons and those are necessary. With that being said the 76ers are full of talent and if Ben Simmons can turn a corner this team is deadly.
Star Power: 8/10
Joel Embiid is a superstar. Outside of him, Ben Simmons and Tobias Harris are low level stars. Eight might be a little high but I refuse to give up hope on Ben Simmons.
Under 28 Talent: 9/10
A lot of talent like Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, Matisse Thybulle, Furkan Korkmaz, Shake Milton, and Tyrese Maxey.
Draft Capitol: 4/10
Philadelphia owns a future first round pick to Oklahoma but besides that they own their firsts.
Franchise Structure: 7/10
Ben Simmons will probably not be on this team next year so it will be up to Daryl Morey to decide the future of this team based on what they can get in this trade. Doc is a good coach and Philly is not a bad city. For being so talented there is still a lot of questions in Philly.
1. Denver Nuggets
Championship Potential: 8/10
With me ranking them number one I obviously think the Nuggets will win an NBA championship or two in the next six years. Jokic has one his MVP and now his focus should be on winning the big award.
Star Power: 8/10
Jokic is a undisputable top ten player and superstar. Jamal Murray when he returns is a star and Michael Porter is knocking on the door of stardom. The trio has real potential to have a real big three.
Under 28 Talent: 9/10
Jokic, Murray, Porter, Gordon, Morris, and Bol make up the best and most talented young core in the NBA.
Draft Capitol: 3/10
Denver is giving a first to both Oklahoma City and Orlando but those picks should not matter much when competing for titles.
Franchise Structure: 7/10
Denver has a really good set up. The front office has proven to be one of the better ones of the league. Denver is B- free agent destination but Mike Malone is a very good coach and they have the best future in the NBA.
