A lot of teams in the NFL have had terrible beginnings to the season and a lot of teams have actually had surprising starts to the season. A lot of teams have had an easy start due to playing bad teams and some teams have had the unfortunate chance to play against tough competition.
Here are some teams that have some of the easiest remaining schedules and are bound to go on a big run this half of the season…
Seattle Seahawks
There’s a pretty easy explanation to the Seahawks having the easiest schedule remaining in the league. They play the Washington Football Team, Eagles, Jets, & Giants as their remaining games in the league. These are 4 of the worst teams in the league right now and the Seahawks are going to have a chance to destroy them. The Seahawks have played extremely well under Russell Wilson, although sometimes a little inconsistent… they’ve stayed course and are 7-3 this season.
I expect the Seahawks to finish the season on a high note as the only team they play that’s over .500 the rest of the way are the LA Rams. I expect the Seahawks to end the season 13-3 or 12-4 at worst as their remaining schedule is too easy to do any worse.
Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys are a wild factor, they can either go to the playoffs or end up having a top 10 pick… yep that’s how bad the NFC East is. The NFC East is so bad that every single team has a chance to be in the playoffs or be a top 10 pick in the draft due to how bad the division has been. The Cowboys have the 2nd easiest remaining schedule as they play 6 teams with losing records in their final 7 games.
Three of the games of the 6 are against their division opponents and it’s definitely going to play a part if they are planning on going to the playoffs. We’re going to see how Andy Dalton can play the rest of the season since he’s back as the starter.
I think the Cowboys will finish with around 4-5 wins out of their 7 remaining games with Dalton under center and finish 6-10 or 7-9 at best.
New Orleans Saints
The Saints have the 3rd easiest remaining schedule and they’re one of the hottest teams in the league right now. In their 7 remaining games, they play 6 teams less than .500 and the only team over .500 is the Chiefs. Not sure how long Drew Brees is going to be out for but Taysom Hill will definitely be interesting to watch out for. I expect Alvin Kamara & the Saints defense to carry the Saints the rest of the way until Brees is back from his injury.
I expect the Seahawks to finish around 13-3 or 12-4 due to Brees being out for some games.
