We’re halfway into the NFL season and have an insane slate of games this week. Whether it’s the Dolphins vs Chiefs in Germany, the Cowboys vs Eagles in a divisional game, or a playoff rematch with the Bills and Bengals on SNF. Let’s get into some potential sleepers that could be useful in your fantasy slate of the week.
QB: Bryce Young (CAR) vs Indianapolis Colts
Bryce Young has started looking like the #1 overall pick the Panthers drafted. Although he’s not lighting the field on fire on the statsheet, he’s been consistent and just had his best game vs the Texans. He’ll be going against the 6th worst passing defense in the Colts.
I expect him to continue to show flashes of excellence vs the Indianapolis, don’t be surprised by another great game by Young.
Projected points: 18.7
RB: Keontay Ingram (ARI) vs Cleveland Browns
With all the injuries in the Cardinals backfield, Keontay Ingram could see a good amount of workload. This might be more of a riskier move to go for, considering the Browns have one of the best defenses vs the run. But… if you’re looking for a player that will get a decent amount of usage at the RB position who will most likely be available on the waiver wire… Ingram is a definite option.
Projected points: 12.3
WR: Quentin Johnston (LAC) vs New York Jets
Johnston recently had his best game of the season (5 catches/50 yards vs Bears) and hopefully, it’s the beginning of a huge spark. With Josh Palmer sidelined, Johnston is primed to even see more targets in the Chargers’ passing offense. I expect Keenan Allen to get a lot of attention against the Jets’ defense, forcing more targets Johnston’s way.
Projected points: 17.5
TE: Jake Ferguson (DAL) vs Philadelphia Eagles
The Dallas Cowboys will be playing a tough divisional rival in the Eagles in a game of elite defenses. I expect Dak Prescott to look at Ferguson a lot as a safety blanket option vs the Eagles’ pass rush. He caught 4 passes and a touchdown in his most recent game and should continue to see targets in the Cowboys offense.
Projected points: 13.1
