2023-24 Week 8 NFL Fantasy Sleepers

2023-24 Week 8 NFL Fantasy Sleepers

We’re heading into Week 8 of the NFL season and have a solid slate of games this Sunday. Whether it’s the Jaguars vs the Steelers, 49ers vs Bengals, or a divisional game like Commanders vs Eagles. Let’s get into some potential sleepers we could see in a solid set of games.

QB: C.J. Stroud (HOU) vs Carolina Panthers

Stroud will be motivated to perform against the team that passed on him in the 2023 NFL Draft. Stroud has looked amazing and arguably the best rookie quarterback so far. I expect him to perform really well to make a statement to the Panthers front office for passing on him after there was some speculation he could go #1.

Projected points: 22.51

RB: Jahmyr Gibbs (DET) vs Las Vegas Raiders

Maybe this isn’t as much of a sleeper pick, but Gibbs should definitely be a start for anyone who has him against the Raiders. Gibbs has started to come on more lately and has performed really well with more of a load against the Ravens. Expect him to continue to get more looks as a receiver out the backfield touches as a runner.

Projected points: 18.3

WR: Zay Flowers (BAL) vs Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals have one of the worst passing defenses in the league this year. Rookie receiver Zay Flowers has been a go-to option for star QB Lamar Jackson this year so far and I expect it to continue in Week 8. He’s averaging 8.3 targets the past 3 weeks and I expect that number to stay high vs the Cardinals.

Projected points: 19.7

TE: Logan Thomas (WSH) vs Philadelphia Eagles

Logan Thomas has looked like a solid safety valve for Sam Howell to go to constantly this whole year. Going against the Eagles defense, Howell will be looking to utilize his safety blanket in a game that will most likely expect the Commanders to be passing a lot.

Projected points: 14.5
