Heading into Week 7 of the NFL fantasy season, it’s time to put up or shut up. Whether you’re 1-5 or 6-0, we all can use some fantasy sleepers to utilize. Whether you have a ton of players on bye or injuries, these are some sleepers to pick up or trade for.
QB: Jordan Love (GB) vs Denver Broncos
If you know anything about the Broncos defense this year… they cannot stop the pass. Enter Jordan Love who’s been surprisingly one of the higher-performing QBs in the league in fantasy ranking top 10 in points per game.
I could see this being a very high scoring game where Love ends up with a lot of passing attempts. He had a rough game vs the Raiders and will be wanting to bounce back… enter a game vs the Broncos.
Projected points: 23.5
RB: Roschon Johnson (CHI) vs Las Vegas Raiders
With Khalil Herbert injured, I expect Roschon Johnson to take over as the starting running back for the Bears. After dealing with a concussion, Johnson is expected to play this week and I expect him carry a decent load on the receiving end and also as an option out of the backfield.
Although he might split carries with D’Onta Foreman, I trust the Bears to allow the rookie to get in the groove vs the Raiders.
Projected points: 14.7
WR: Rashee Rice (KC) vs Los Angeles Chargers
AFC West matchups are almost always high-scoring and I expect this one to be the same. Rashee Rice has been averaging over 5 targets the past 4 games and I expect it to continue in the Chiefs passing offense. Even with the trade pick up of Mecole Hardman, expect Rice to still see a heavy dose.
With both the Chargers and Chiefs offense being top 10, this game will be high scoring… which means more passing from Mahomes… which means more chances for Rice.
Projected points: 16.2
TE: Michael Mayer (LV) vs Chicago Bears
We saw a breakout game from Michael Mayer last week. He saw 6 targets and had 75 yards receiving vs the Patriots and looked dominant. If that is any sign for the future, we could see Mayer be a huge part of the Raiders offense.
With Jimmy Garroppolo out, rookie QB Aidan O’Connell will be expected to start and he will be looking for a safety blanket in his first game… enter Michael Mayer.
Projected points: 12.3
