Wide Receivers That Will Breakout This Upcoming 2024 NFL Season

In today’s passing league, you’re seeing more and more insane performances from wide receivers. Some have been expected from household names like Justin Jefferson or Ja’Marr Chase, but what about the receivers that haven’t been put in the best position to showcase that…

Let’s get into some wide receivers that will have a breakout season this upcoming 2024 NFL season…

Trenton Irwin, WR (Cincinnati Bengals)

The Bengals lost Tyler Boyd this offseason and what better way to replace him than a receiver that Joe Burrow can trust in Trenton Irwin? Irwin is not the most athletic receiver, but his ability to get open and make catches in traffic is a reason why Burrow trusts him so much. Don’t be surprised to see Irwin have a big season in the Bengals offense, replacing Tyler Boyd’s production.

Projected stats: 64 receptions, 802 receiving yards, 3 TDs

Jahan Dotson, WR (Washington Commanders)

Jahan Dotson has shown flashes of being a great receiver, but inconsistent quarterback and him disappearing in the Commanders’ offense at times have caused him to not be as productive as his potential should allow him to. Now with Jayden Daniels’ at the helm and Curtis Samuel gone, expect Dotson to be a key weapon for Daniels to target while Terry McLaurin gets all the love from coverages.

Projected stats: 71 receptions, 1,024 receiving yards, 6 TDs

Curtis Samuel, WR (Buffalo Bills)

Opportunity, opportunity, and… opportunity. The Buffalo Bills do not have a true #1 WR in their offense anymore after Stefon Diggs’ departure. Curtis Samuel has shown at times that he could be a consistent #2 receiver in the league, but now with the opportunity to play with the best quarterback he’s played ever… I expect him to have a breakout season.

Samuel has the ability to make plays with the ball in his hands out of the backfield and also as a slot receiver. He’ll get a lot of looks in the Bills offense and should be considered a sleeper to keep an eye on in fantasy football.

Projected Stats: 94 receptions, 1,124 receiving yards, 231 rushing yards, and 8 total TDs
