The NFL season is upon us and that means fantasy football season is here as well. Whether it’s your work fantasy league or a league between your boys/girls, let’s get into some potential sleepers that can help you win your upcoming league..
QB: Derek Carr, New Orleans Saints
Derek Carr was an underrated quarterback last season and has a good amount of weapons around him New Orleans. I expect him to have a good amount of success this upcoming season with all the weapons around him like Chris Olave, Rashid Shaheed, and Alvin Kamara.
I’m not saying that Derek Carr is going to be a top 5 fantasy quarterback, but if you neeed a consistent QB week to week, Carr should definitely be an option at QB2 to look at.
RB: Tyrone Tracy Jr., New York Giants
There are plenty of opportunities for Tracy Jr. in the Giants offense with the departure of Saquon Barkley to division rivals. There is Devin Singletary in the offense as well, but I expect Tracy Jr. to get the majority of carries in the redzone as Singletary is seem as more of a receiving back.
Tracy Jr. should definitely live up to expectations in fantasy and considering where he’s being drafted… I’d definitely take a flyer on him.
WR: Jerry Jeudy, Cleveland Browns
There’s a reason the Browns went and got Jerry Jeudy and it’s to have a true #2 receiver next to Amari Cooper to help their quarterback Deshaun Watson. Jeudy has shown flashes throughout his career and if given the proper chance, I believe he could showcase that he’s an elite #2 receiver in the league.
If he’s available in the later rounds, you take a chance on him just because he could end up giving you good production as the #2 receiver in the Browns offense without Nick Chubb for the first few months of the season.
TE: Mike Gesicki, Cincinnati Bengals
I’m actually quite surprised to see where Gesicki is being drafted in leagues. Gesicki teaming up with Joe Burrow on that Bengals offense should be something to watch and don’t be surprised if he ends up being quite productive in the Bengals offense as a slot receiver/receiving tight end.
Gesicki has at times looked like an elite tight end, but has faded away a bit the past few seasons with inconsistent quarterback play, enter in Joe Burrow. Don’t be surprised to see Gesicki go for 700 yards and 10 touchdowns this upcoming season if everyone’s healthy.
