With the NBA 23-24 upcoming season being less than eight days away, projections and predictions surrounding the league’s 32 teams become more widespread. Among the most popular ones, we can find the title contender prediction, which is perhaps the hardest to anticipate correctly, due to the uncertainty and x-factors throughout the season. Nevertheless, we will rank our top three favorite teams to win it all this year.
Phoenix Suns
Despite the Suns being somewhat of an unpredictable team this season due to team chemistry and overall lack of experience together, they can go really far this year provided they make it function properly.
The Valley team would need to exploit their more than capable offensive power to make up for the potential defensive versatility when compared to other contenders. Their Beal-Booker-Durant Big Three is one of the best ones in the entire league.
Denver Nuggets
The reigning NBA champions have every chance of repeating their most legendary run in franchise history this year. With no sign of stopping, Nikola Jokic will continue as one of the most complete players in the league, with little to no competition in terms of skill or play style.
On top of that, great pieces, such as Aaron Gordon and the STILL underrated Jamal Murray, are also going through the best moments in their respective careers and will be of prime importance for the title run.
Milwaukee Bucks
Even without their recent trades, the Milwaukee Bucks could still be on this list, as they are perhaps the most complete, versatile team in the entire NBA. Not only do they hold incredible value on both ends of the court, but their pieces also complement each other perfectly.
Now, with Damian Lillard as their starting PG, the Bucks are decidedly going for every possible achievement this season. Giannis is also looking better than ever this preseason, so is the case with Brook Lopez and Khris Middleton. Lastly, with their experience as the 2023 top seed and playoff win record, they know what it takes to achieve excellent results.
Many teams, such as the Celtics (4th favorite), Lakers (5th), and even the Warriors (6th), can go into this title contender conversation. However, the three teams that did make it to the list, have stronger arguments to make a fruitful playoff run in the NBA 23-24 season. We could not be more excited for the future of the league.
