Coach III’s Week Two Game Picks

Coach III’s Week Two Game Picks

Week one has come and gone and now week 2 is upon us! Lets take a look at the slate for this week and my predictions! Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram and X @coachmsiii!

Thursday, September 9th

Buffalo Bills (1-0) @ Miami Dolphins (1-0)

Its an AFC East faceoff to start our game slate and its a goodie. The Bills helped prove me wrong in my prediction last week and they’ll keep this game close with Miami. Tyreek had himself a wild week 1 and he’ll show up on the stat sheet as always this week. Josh Allen will be the offense of Buffalo as per usual, especially with its lack of literally anything else. I have Miami taking this game (hopefully I hit this pick.)

Player of the Game Prediction: Tyreek Hill, WR

Predicted Final Score: 21-14 Dolphins

Sunday, September 15th

Las Vegas Raiders (0-1) @ Baltimore Ravens (0-1)

The Raiders had themselves a rough week one. Gardner Minshew didn’t look as bad as expected but that was not enough for them to stop the Chargers 22-10 victory over them. They’ll look to get back on track against Baltimore, a team a toe away from victory over Kansas City last week. This should be easy pickings for the Ravens, they’ll take this game relatively easily.

Player of the Game Prediction: Derrick Henry, RB

Predicted Final Score: 35-14 Ravens

Los Angeles Chargers (1-0) @ Panthers (0-1)

The Chargers had a nice 1-0 beginning to the Harbaugh era in LA. The Panthers had one of the worst starts you could possibly have to a season. They should have a pretty bad week two as well. The Chargers offensive line looked near perfect last week and the Panthers will be missing star defensive tackle Derrick Brown, further weakening their defensive line. This should be a horrific rout by the Chargers.

Predicted Final Score: J.K. Dobbins, RB

Predicted Final Score: 48-7

New Orleans Saints (1-0) @ Dallas Cowboys (1-0)

The Saints and Cowboys both had great blowout victories during week one. I believe that these teams are relatively equal in talent. It will simply come down to who makes fewer mistakes and who has the better quarterback. Dallas has Dak Prescott, who is leaps and bounds better than Derek Carr. Micah Parsons will be Micah Parsons, tearing through the New Orleans offensive line. Dallas should take this game in a dog fight of a game.

Player of the Game Prediction: Micah Parsons, DE/LB

Predicted Final Score: 24-21 Cowboys

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-0) @ Detroit Lions (1-0)

Baker Mayfield looked really good last week. Four touchdowns is no joke and they’ll hope to take down Detroit this game. Detroit has Super Bowl aspirations and Tampa Bay is merely a stepping stone there. The Lions should take this game, especially with the possible breakout of Jameson Williams (after three years!) being seen in week one. Tampa Bay is good but Detroit is just that much better.

Player of the Game Prediction: Jameson Williams, WR

Predicted Final Score: 28-7

Indianapolis Colts (0-1) @ Green Bay Packers (0-1)

The Colts looked good last week. They kept it close with one of the most lethal offenses in the NFL and Anthony Richardson showed shades of the Cam Newton 1.5 Indy drafted him to be. The Packers lost Jordan Love to a knee injury, leaving them with Cam Newton 0.25 Malik Willis. The NFL is a game won and lost by its quarterbacks, the Packers will unfortunately feel this mantra. Richardson looked good against one of the best teams in the AFC, he may look even better against one of the NFC’s best.

Player of the Game Prediction: Anthony Richardson, QB

Predicted Final Score: 21-7

Cleveland Browns (0-1) @ Jacksonville Jaguars (1-0)

The Browns looked awful this week. More specifically, Deshaun Watson looked horrible. I don’t think he’ll be as awful as he was last week but its clear he isn’t worth his massive extension. Jacksonville has a quarterback trying to prove he is worth his extension and Travon Walker, their number one pick from 2022, will surely show off his All-Pro potential yet again this week. The Browns are falling short of their expectations and its only week two, can the Jaguars take advantage of their weakness? I think so.

Player of the Game Prediction: Travon Walker, DE

Predicted Final Score: 28-14

San Francisco 49ers (1-0) @ Minnesota Vikings (1-0)

The 49ers looked great this week. Taking down a playoff contender in the fashion they did is an exciting prospect and with a UDFA runningback in Jordan Mason? My word. The Vikings hope that the 49ers old backup, Sam Darnold can take them to victory over San Francisco. That isn’t happening. The 49ers defense looked borderline unstoppable against Aaron Rodgers and the usually weak part of it, the secondary, was by far its best aspect. Count your lucky stars Justin Jefferson, it will be a rough day for you.

Player of the Game Prediction: Deommodore Lenoir, CB

Predicted Final Score: 35-7

Seattle Seahawks (1-0) @ New England Patriots (1-0)

The Seahawks have playoff hopes and the Patriots are coming off a big upset of the Bengals. Back to back upsets sounds fun but it is not to be for New England. Geno Smith is fighting for a new contract and to put it simply, the Patriots aren’t good enough to beat most teams. Seattle will take this but not without a big New England fight.

Player of the Game Prediction: Rhamondre Stevenson, RB

Predicted Final Score 41-21

New York Jets (0-1) @ Tennessee Titans (0-1)

New York had a rough week one against San Francisco. They’ll get a nice little bounce-back opportunity against the Titans this week. Will Levis looked average in his debut but may have a better time against New York’s slightly weaker defense. I don’t believe Tennessee wil win but I wouldn’t be surprised if they did pull an upset.

Player of the Game Prediction: Aaron Rodgers, QB

Predicted Final Score: 24-14

New York Giants (0-1) @ Washington Commanders (0-1)

The Giants looked awful in week one and their week two won’t be much better. As fun of a team they can be, Daniel Jones will hold them back as well as a lack of a running game. The Commanders aren’t too great either and I still have New York bumbling their way into a victory this week.

Player of the Game Prediction: Malik Nabers, WR

Predicted Final Score: 14-7

Los Angeles Rams (0-1) @ Arizona Cardinals (0-1)

Marvin Harrison Jr. was shockingly quiet in his week one debut and Kyler Murray’s comments weren’t exactly encouraging. However, I am a Cardinals believer and I think they’ll show it off by taking down a stout Los Angeles defense. Even without Aaron Donald, that defensive line is still good and it will have Kyler at least a little stressed under center. The Cardinals will win this game, barely but will win it.

Player of the Game Prediction: Marvin Harrison Jr., WR

Predicted Final Score: 24-21

Pittsburgh Steelers (1-0) @ Denver Broncos (0-1)

The Russell Wilson revenge game is unfortunately not to be this week. Justin Fields will get the start against Denver and no matter which one starts, Pittsburgh should pull this one out relatively easily.

Player of the Game Prediction: T.J. Watt, DE/OLB

Predicted Final Score: 21-14

Cincinnati Bengals (0-1) @ Kansas City Chiefs (1-0)

The Chiefs look like they’ll get yet another dub this week against a struggling Cincinnati team. While Joe Burrow may play better this week, the Chiefs have a dynasty to uphold and the Bengals will be skinned for their trophy case once again.

Player of the Game Prediction: Patrick Mahomes, QB

Predicted Final Score: 28-7

Chicago Bears (1-0) @ Houston Texans (1-0)

The Bears offense struggled mightily this week and had their defense not caught up, they most likely would have lost. The Texans are simply the better team, they’ll win this quite easily but maybe Caleb Williams will show off his prowess better this game!

Player of the Game Prediction: Will Anderson Jr., DE

Predicted Final Score: 35-14

Monday, September 16th

Atlanta Falcons (0-1) @ Philadelphia Eagles (1-0)

Atlanta struggled with their new starting quarterback Kirk Cousins to start the season. I believe they’ll get back on track this week by beating Philadelphia on Monday Night Football as a sort of statement win. Philly will keep this close and do its best to show they belong in the League’s Super Bowl elite.

Player of the Game Prediction: Kirk Cousins

Predicted Final Score: 28-21
