Christmas time is here as well as football for all to cheer. Please enjoy my brand new Week 14 NFL Picks.
Thursday, December 5th
Green Bay Packers (9-3) @ Detroit Lions (11-1)
The Lions are one of the most deadly offensive teams in the NFL. The Packers are just as deadly. I don’t know whos been scheduling the Thursday Night Football games this year but this is another banger of a matchup. I’ll take the Lions to handle business this week but don’t be surprised if the Packers give them a little scare.
Predicted Final Score: Lions 28 Packers 21
Sunday, December 8th
Cleveland Browns (3-9) @ Pittsburgh Steelers (9-3)
The Browns are having a season from hell, the Steelers are doing the exact opposite. They have been firing on all cylinders since starting Russell Wilson, a decision that shocked the football world and yet has been one of the most fruitful. Now they host a struggling Cleveland team, one that will be shredded by Pittsburgh, regardless of what defensive talent they have.
Predicted Final Score: Steelers 35 Browns 7
New Orleans Saints (4-8) @ New York Giants (2-10)
The Poo-Poo Bowl has arrived. This game only matters for draft positioning and the Saints are far better than their record. It might be an alright game, but in the grand scheme of things its pointless. I have the Saints winning.
Predicted Final Score: Saints 21 Giants 3
New York Jets (3-9) @ Miami Dolphins (5-7)
The Jets are tumbling apart. The Dolphins, they’re finding their footing. Although I don’t expect them to win 5 straight, I still think the Dolphins will remain competitive. They should handle business with the Jets, although I’m not too confident.
Predicted Final Score: Dolphins 14 Jets 7
Jacksonville Jaguars (2-10) @ Tennessee Titans (3-9)
The Jags and Titans are what I like to call, depressing. The Jags have lost TLaw for the year and the Titans are only improving week to week. I don’t have an immense amount of confidence in them to win but I think the Titans will put it out.
Predicted Final Score: Titans 17 Jaguars 10
Atlanta Falcons (6-6) @ Minnesota Vikings (10-2)
The Vikings are playing far beyond their talent levels. Kevin O’Connell deserves a massive Coach of the Year award for what he has done. While I see them playing well through the season, I think the Falcons are going to run the table to end the year. Kirk Cousins is in line for a bounce back game, lets see how that goes.
Predicted Final Score: Falcons 28 Vikings 24
Carolina Panthers (3-9) @ Philadelphia Eagles (10-2)
Bryce Young actually looks…good?! While that is awesome for them, the Eagles are still a far better team, especially with my MVP, Saquon Barkley running the show. They should win handily, Carolina doesn’t look that complete just yet.
Predicted Final Score: Eagles 28 Panthers 14
Las Vegas Raiders (2-10) @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-6)
The Bucs need a win to keep in the fight for the division title. The Raiders are…I don’t know what they are doing at this point. The Bucs need to win this, I think the Raiders are overdue for an upset win. Am I wrong? Probably. Does it still feel like the outcome? Definitely.
Predicted Final Score: Raiders 13 Buccaneers 10
Seattle Seahawks (7-5) @ Arizona Cardinals (6-6)
The battle for the NFC West starts here. A bloodbath division. The Seahawks are semi competent, the Cardinals are slowly coming together. I think this is a game Arizona takes care of business and shows they deserve the division. Do I think they win it? Who knows. They definitely win this week though.
Predicted Final Score: Cardinals 35 Seahawks 14
Chicago Bears (4-8) @ San Francisco 49ers (5-7)
The plan for the 49ers this season has been completely crushed with injuries, drama, and some unfortunate events. The Bears are just…plain stupid. I believe the 49ers get a course correcting win this year to help their playoff hunt, as misguided as it may seem.
Predicted Final Score: 49ers 28 Bears 21
Buffalo Bills (10-2) @ Los Angeles Rams (6-6)
Wouldn’t it be something if the Rams got the upset here? I think it would be. I think they are right in the hunt with the rest of the NFC West for the title and should pull off an incredible upset in a massive shootout.
Predicted Final Score: Rams 31 Bills 28
Los Angeles Chargers (8-4) @ Kansas City Chiefs (11-1)
The Chiefs are just not as good as their record may seem. The Chargers are finally a good team, much to Brandon Staley’s dismay, Harbaugh is transforming the team before our very eyes. I think the Chargers upset the Chiefs, reminding them they are not invincible. This is barring any ref-ball of course, which we know Kansas City will take advantage of.
Predicted Final Score: Chargers 24 Chiefs 21
Cincinnati Bengals (4-8) @ Dallas Cowboys (5-7)
The Bengals need more wins to get back in a wild card spot. What better team than Dallas to accommodate? If any team will keel over and allow the opposition to win, its the Cowboys. Nice knowing you Dallas, but your season is kaput.
Predicted Final Score: Bengals 42 Cowboys 10
Conclusion
It is going to be a ton of fun watching this slate play out! I can’t wait to see where we go from here this season. Have a safe and fun weekend folks and don’t forget to check out Coach III’s Corner, on Spotify and Youtube!
