Coach III’s NFL Week 5 Picks

Coach III’s NFL Week 5 Picks

Week four has come and gone, now arrives week 5 of the NFL regular season. We’ve got some pretty good games in this week’s slate like the Bengals vs Ravens or Bills vs Texans… Lets take a look at the games and picks for this week.

Thursday, October 3rd

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-1) @ Atlanta Falcons (2-2)

The Buccaneers look like one of the premier offenses in the NFL this season and they go against a stumbling Falcons team. It’s an interdivisional matchup, this should be a lot of fun! I have the Falcons evening out the game off of a (hopefully) big game from Kyle Pitts. Avoid those yardage under props.

Predicted Final Score: Falcons 24, Buccaneers 17

Sunday, October 6th

New York Jets (2-2) @ Minnesota Vikings (4-0)

The Jets had a rough week four, I hope to see the team bounce back this week against a scorching hot Vikings team with Jets alumni, Sam Darnold under center. It’ll be a tough battle but I think we will see yet another undefeated fall. After all, Aaron Rodgers has the NFC North’s number.

Predicted Final Score: Jets 17 Vikings 14

Carolina Panthers (1-3) @ Chicago Bears (2-2)

The Panthers look better with Andy Dalton under center but does it really matter? They’ve already ruined the development of their first overall quarterback, they will ruin this season as well. The Bears may finally get a statement win off the back of the near-Panther, Caleb Williams. At this point, I don’t know why Panthers fans would even bother reading my predictions for their team. Bears win.

Predicted Final Score: Bears 28 Panthers 3

Baltimore Ravens (2-2) @ Cincinnati Bengals (1-3)

The Bengals have had struggles this year. Bad ones. The Ravens aren’t looking as poised as usual. It is just a matter of who screws up less. The Ravens will prove they are still an upper echelon team with a strong showing this week. The Bengals need this upset though, so I think I’ll take them.

Predicted Final Score: Bengals 24 Raven 21

Buffalo Bills (3-1) @ Houston Texans (3-1)

The Bills are proving me wrong. The Texans are starting to show some holes. The Bills will take this, not sure how but I think the Josh Allen magic powers will prevail. The Texans are late on a wakeup loss, maybe this will be it?

Predicted Final Score: Bills 21 Texans 14

Indianapolis Colts (2-2) @ Jacksonville Jaguars (0-4)

Its panic time in Duval County. The Jags are 0 and 4 and in desperation mode. They need a win now. An Anthony Richardsonless Colts team? The perfect prey. Doug Pederson will keep his job another week.

Predicted Final Score: Jaguars 14 Colts 7

Miami Dolphins (1-3) @ New England Patriots (1-3)

The Pats suck because they’re a bad team. The Phins suck because they have no quarterback. All Miami needs to do is limit their mistakes. If they do that, they should come out victorious.

Predicted Final Score: Dolphins 10 Patriots 3

Cleveland Browns (1-3) @ Washington Commanders (3-1)

The Browns look rough, it isn’t just a Deshaun “Roethlisberger” Watson problem. The Commanders have an absolute dynamite quarterback and they should make quick work of the Cleveland defense. A shame, it seems like Quinn Ewers will be donning a Browns uniform next year.

Predicted Final Score: Commanders 28 Browns 7

Las Vegas Raiders (2-2) @ Denver Broncos (2-2)

Although these teams records say .500, they are much, much worse than their record says. I will probably skip watching this game if possible. The offenses are putrid and the defenses range from meh to alright. The Broncos should win but don’t expect much from either team this game.

Predicted Final Score: Broncos 10 Raiders 7

Arizona Cardinals (1-3) @ San Francisco 49ers (2-2)

The 49ers are finally getting back on track. I love the Cardinals offense and I’m sure they will give me a few scares this game. The 49ers, even with their injuries, are still a Top 10 offense in the NFL. They will make quick work of Arizona, though Marvin Harrison Jr. may still cause problems for the secondary.

Predicted Final Score: 49ers 35 Cardinals 21

Green Bay Packers (2-2) @ Los Angeles Rams (1-3)

The Rams are falling short of the hefty expectations we set for them at the beginning of the season. I don’t think this is their identity though, they will beat the Packers handily as Jordan Love simply does not look ready to return to play yet.

Predicted Final Score: Rams 21 Packers 14

New York Giants (1-3) @ Seattle Seahawks (3-1)

The Seahawks are rolling and the Giants are tumbling down the standings. The more games you lose Giants fans, the better. I’ll see you guys in April! Until then, suffer with Daniel Jones under center. The Seahawks will make quick work of the New York Football Giants.

Predicted Final Score: Seahawks 42 Giants 7

Dallas Cowboys (2-2) @ Pittsburgh Steelers (3-1)

The Cowboys should beat the Steelers. Dak Prescott only looks better each week and while Justin Fields looks good under center, I don’t think that is sustainable. Look to see the Cowboys running game to see if they win!

Predicted Final Score: Cowboys 27 Steelers 10

Monday, October 7th

New Orleans Saints (2-2) @ Kansas City Chiefs (4-0)

The Saints are finally a good football team?! I cannot wait to see Derek Carr dethrone the Chiefs this week. I know its bad to have faith in a team like New Orleans, but I love an underdog and I want to see the First Order destroyed any way possible. Good luck.

Predicted Final Score: Saints 42 Chiefs 35

See You All Next Week!
