The NFL draft is a few months away, but it’s time we get into the numerous rumors and mocks that we will see during this season. There are many eyes on this year’s draft with elite prospects like Marvin Harrison Jr. and Caleb Williams consistently being mocked at the top 2 picks. Where will these top prospects land?
1. Chicago Bears: Caleb Williams, USC, QB
There have been talks about the Chicago Bears moving on from Justin Fields for a bit now. However, Fields has improved every single year, the chance at getting a generational talent like Caleb Williams.. the Bears can’t pass up.
Caleb Williams would come in and immediately become the face of the franchise for the Bears and hopefully bring some stability at the quarterback position for the next decade or two.
2. Washington Commanders: Marvin Harrison Jr., Ohio State, WR
The Commanders can go many ways with the #2 overall pick. Sam Howell had a very up-and-down year and it’s possible the Commanders go with Drake Maye at #2, but here they go with the standout receiver in Marvin Harrison Jr., one of the best receivers we’ve seen come out of the draft in recent years.
3. New England Patriots: Drake Maye, UNC, QB
The New England Patriots have a new head coach and it’s time their head coach gets their own quarterback. Mac Jones has been serviceable throughout his career, but not enough to warrant being the franchise guy. To his defense, he hasn’t had the greatest set of weaponry to throw to, but in this case it doesn’t matter.
The Patriots need a new face of the franchise and Maye would come in and be just that. His combination of pure arm talent and sneaky athleticism make him quite the intriguing prospect. If he can clean up some of the questionable decision-making, he’s got the potential to be a superstar at quarterback.
4. Arizona Cardinals: Joe Alt, Notre Dame, OT
It’s probably in the best interest of the Cardinals to continue to get protection around Kyler Murray. The future state of the Cardinals is really up in the air, but if you can get a top-end left tackle for the next 10-15 years, you go and grab him.
5. Los Angeles Chargers: Malik Nabers, LSU, WR
Justin Herbert has dealt with a very often-injured receiver corps throughout his career so far. Whether it’s been Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, or whoever… the Chargers receiving core hasn’t helped Herbert too much.
Now add in Malik Nabers, an explosive athlete that can come in and bring some speed to the Chargers receiving core immediately. Adding Nabers to Allen, Williams, and Johnston should bring fear to opposing defenses with Herbert at the helm.
6. New York Giants: Rome Odunze, UW, WR
Alright, here’s a challenge… name the Giants top 2 leading receivers the past year. It was Darius Slayton and Wan’Dale Robinson. Don’t get me wrong, they’re not bad receivers… but #1 and #2 receivers? nope.
Enter in Odunze who would come in and immediately take over as the #1 receiver in a Giants receiving core that desperately needs some talent. Odunze is a big specimen that can go and make plays, giving Daniel Jones an actual WR weapon to throw to.
7. Tennessee Titans: Olumuyiwa Fashanu, Penn State, OT
The assumption is that the Titans are moving with Will Levis this year as their starting quarterback. What’s a quarterback’s best friend? A big left tackle that can protect his blind side. Fashanu has all the tools to become an elite left tackle in the NFL and would become a great get for the Titans to protect their young quarterback.
8. Atlanta Falcons: Jayden Daniels, LSU, QB
The Falcons tried experimenting with Desmond Ridder and Marcus Mariota, but it just didn’t work out. Now it’s time for them to get an actual prospect to build around.
Jayden Daniels is an elite athlete at the quarterback position who has shown growth in his passing ability throughout the years. Although he doesn’t have the biggest frame, he makes it up with his ability to make and extend plays with his legs.
9. Chicago Bears: Terrion Arnold, Alabama, CB
A great athlete at the cornerback position, Arnold has all the tools to become an elite lockdown corner for the next decade. Although he’s still a bit raw, his elite athleticism and explosiveness makes him extremely enticing for teams looking for defensive playmakers.
10. New York Jets: Taliese Fuaga, Oregon State, OT
The assumption is that Aaron Rodgers will be ready to go next season and it’s important the Jets protect their biggest asset. They already have a top defense, a solid weaponry for Rodgers, now they get some added protection. Fuaga can be plugged in immediately and be a physical hauler at the right tackle position for the Jets for a long time.
11. Minnesota Vikings: Byron Murphy II, Texas, DT
12. Denver Broncos: Dallas Turner, Alabama, DE
13. Las Vegas Raiders: Nate Wiggins, Clemson, CB
14. New Orleans Saints: Jared Verse, FSU, DE
15. Indianapolis Colts: Cooper DeJean, Iowa, CB
16. Seattle Seahawks: Bo Nix, Oregon, QB
17. Jacksonville Jaguars: Laiatu Latu, UCLA, DE
18. Cincinnati Bengals: Brock Bowers, Georgia, TE
19. Los Angeles Rams: JC Latham, Alabama, OT
20. Pittsburgh Steelers: Quinyon Mitchell, Toledo, CB
21. Miami Dolphins: Amarius Mims, Georgia, OT
22. Philadelphia Eagles: Kool-Aid McKinstry, Alabama, CB
23. Houston Texans: Jer’Zhan Newton, Illinois, DT
24. Dallas Cowboys: Brian Thomas Jr., LSU, WR
25. Green Bay Packers: Troy Fautanu, Washington, OT
26. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Troy Franklin, Oregon, WR
27. Arizona Cardinals: Ladd McConkey, Georgia, WR
28. Buffalo Bills: Graham Barton, Duke, OT
29. Detroit Lions: Ennis Rakestraw Jr., Missouri, CB
30. Baltimore Ravens: Chris Braswell, Alabama, DE
31. San Francisco 49ers: Zach Frazier, West Virginia, C
32. Kansas City Chiefs: Keon Coleman, FSU, WR
