Going into Week 6 of NFL Fantasy, this is where a lot of rosters are trying to make changes and potential trades to make a run for the playoffs.
Here are some potential sleepers to keep an eye on to have big games due to opportunity and continued trends.
QB: Baker Mayfield (TB) vs Detroit Lions
Baker Mayfield has been playing surprisingly well in the Buccaneers offense so far and has looked like an above-average QB again. It helps to have receivers like Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, but Mayfield has done a great job at the QB position taking calculated risks and playing better than expected.
In a matchup that I expect to be a shootout, expect Mayfield to have a decent load of pass attempts. Mayfield should be able to feast against a questionable Lions passing defense.
Projected points: 22.5
RB: Raheem Mostert (MIA) vs Carolina Panthers
It sucks to see De’Von Achane get injured after a historic start to his rookie year, but this should open up more looks for Mostert. Mostert will be relied on heavily against the Panthers as I expect this to be a blowout by the Dolphins. If he’s still available in your fantasy league, go pick him up immediately.
Projected points: 16.6 (PPR)
WR: Tyler Boyd (CIN) vs Seattle Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks have the 31st ranked passing defense and Tyler Boyd is the #2 WR in the Bengals offense with Tee Higgins missing some time due to a rib injury.
Expect Boyd to get a lot of looks in the slot and be used as a safety valve consistently. The Bengals haven’t utilized their TEs much in that department and that’s where Boyd will come in handy when Chase is covered.
Projected points: 15.1 (PPR)
TE: Dalton Schultz (HOU) vs New Orleans Saints
Dalton Schultz has caught on fire recently in the Texans offense. He led all Texans receivers in receptions (7) and receiving yards (65) this past game vs the Falcons.
He’s averaging over 16 fantasy points in his past 2 fantasy games and could continue to see an increased volume of targets with Stroud utilizing Schultz more and more as a safety blanket.
Projected points: 14.5 (PPR)
