We’re almost mid-way into the NFL season and we’re starting to see some interesting trends occur in the past few weeks. The NFL fantasy season has been no different, seeing the emergence of players like Tank Bigsby or a fellow waiver wire pickup in Jordan Mason.. we’ve seen some waiver wire options play big parts for fantasy teams so far.
Let’s get into some more waiver wire pickups that could help you win your next few fantasy games..
QB: Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars
Trevor Lawrence has looked more comfortable passing the ball in recent weeks. With receiving options like Brian Thomas Jr., Gabe Davis, and Evan Engram… We could see Lawrence start putting up some solid numbers if you need a consistent QB option. The Jaguars aren’t given any favors, playing some really good teams the next few weeks, but that also could mean more opportunity for Lawrence to pass the ball while being down in games.
WR: Rashod Bateman, Baltimore Ravens
If you’ve been paying attention to any Ravens games recently, you will have noticed that Lamar Jackson has found a rhythm again with former 1st round receiver Rashod Bateman. Bateman has looked like the #1 option the past 3 games, averaging over 80 receiving yards per game and scoring 2 touchdowns in the last 3 weeks. Definitely someone to keep a eye on as a waiver wire option that continues to look good in the Ravens offense.
Expect Zay Flowers to continue to get majority of the targets, but Bateman has proven to be a reliable option for Lamar recently and wouldn’t be surprised to see him continue his stellar production after posting 121 receiving yards this past game.
TE: Hunter Henry, New England Patriots
Looks like rookie quarterback Drake Maye has found his security blanket in Hunter Henry. Henry saw 9 targets and caught 8 passes in the game vs the Jaguars and looked like a consistent weapon that Maye could go to whenever he needed a quick completion. Henry only being rostered on 39% of teams on Sleeper as a top 6 tight end is puzzling so go pick him up if you can.
He could provide some solid value as he continues to get looks with the questionable receiver room in New England.
