NBA Play-In Tournament: Friday’s Win or Go Home Matchups

Cavs vs Hawks

To start off Friday’s play-in action, the Cavs take on the Hawks in what will be a well-fought matchup for the final playoff slot in the Eastern Conference. The Hawks are coming off a somewhat disappointing season, as last year they found themselves in the Eastern Conference Finals as the 5 seed. Thankfully for the Cavs, Jarrett Allen is expected to try to play, giving Cleveland a much-needed boost in the defense department. The winner of this game will go on to face the Miami Heat in the first round of the playoffs.

Clippers vs Pelicans

The short-handed Clippers will take on the New Orleans Pelicans tomorrow for the final slot in the West. The blazing hot C.J. McCollum looks to help lift his team to beat the Clippers and give New Orleans their first playoff birth since Anthony Davis was on the roster during the 2017-2018 season. It will be a good game as both these teams play a gritty and tough style of basketball. If the Clippers are to advance, they hope Kawhi could return to the team, given they make a deep enough playoff run.
