Coach III’s Week 9 NFL Picks

Coach III’s Week 9 NFL Picks

Long time no see! A couple weeks of football have gone by but our game picks return once again. Here are my picks for Week 9 of the NFL regular season. Have a safe and fun Halloweekend!

Thursday, October 31st

Houston Texans (6-2) @ New York Jets (2-6)

The only thing scary about this matchup is the collapsing and tumbling Jets. They are looking for a game to get their bearings and it simply has not happened. The team needs an impressive win and what better team to beat than the Houston Texans? Don’t get me wrong, the Texans are a great team but I think they have kept a few games far too close and they are long overdue for an upset.

Predicted Final Score: Jets 24 – Texans 17

Sunday, November 3rd

New Orleans Saints (2-6) @ Carolina Panthers (1-7)

The Saints need a stable win. They are floundering and what better team to get somewhat back on track than the worst team in the NFL? The Saints should win, but don’t be surprised if they find a way to bobble this.

Predicted Final Score: Saints 21 – Panthers 7

Washington Commanders (6-2) @ New York Giants (2-6)

Jayden Daniels is the real deal and most likely the de-facto rookie of the year. The Giants have problems but slowly, I believe they’re starting to get a little better. New York is coming off a short week though and I expect Washington to take advantage. Easy victory for the Commanders.

Predicted Final Score: Commanders 28 – Giants 3

Miami Dolphins (2-5) @ Buffalo Bills (6-2)

The Dolphins are not having a great 2024. They have a porous defense and are just not good whatsoever. The Bills are only improving. I love upsets but I don’t think Miami is anywhere close to Buffalo’s level. Easy victory for Bills Mafia.

Predicted Final Score: Dolphins 14 – Bills 28

Los Angeles Chargers (4-3) @ Cleveland Browns (2-6)

The Browns are now without Deshaun Watson and Jameis Winston actually looks competent at quarterback. Is this a sign of things to come? I think so. The Chargers are looking better under Harbaugh than they ever have but I love to take the underdog, especially a team led by Famous Jameis.

Predicted Final Score: Chargers 10 – Browns 24

New England Patriots (2-6) @ Tennessee Titans (1-6)

A glorified tank bowl. I don’t care who wins in this game but if I had to guess, the Pats will pick up another win this week. Whether that is good or bad remains to be seen.

Predicted Final Score: Patriots 14 – Titans 3

Dallas Cowboys (3-4) @ Atlanta Falcons (5-3)

The Cowboys are beginning to fall apart, the Falcons are trying to take control of their division. A recipe for disaster for Dallas. Expect the Falcons not only to win but dominate outright.

Predicted Final Score: Falcons 35 – Cowboys 7

Las Vegas Raiders (2-6) @ Cincinnati Bengals (3-5)

The Raiders suck but so do the Bengals. The Bengals are looking to get back on track after an awful start this season. Furthermore, they are 0-4 at home, they need a home win. The Raiders are worse than the Bengals by a wide margin, what does that culminate in? A Bengals victory!

Predicted Final Score: Raiders 14 – Bengals 31

Denver Broncos (5-3) @ Baltimore Ravens (5-3)

A world where the Broncos are half decent? What reality are we living in? Bo Nix looks like the Mile High Messiah, which is unfortunate because Baltimore is coming to squash these hopes. It won’t be close, the Ravens offense is that good and the defense is good enough to slow Denver down.

Predicted Final Score: Broncos 14 – Ravens 35

Chicago Bears (4-3) @ Arizona Cardinals (4-4)

The Cardinals are only improving as are the Bears. The Cardinals control the NFC West and are looking to continue such this week. The Bears need a win asap if they want to compete with the big dogs in the NFC North. Do I think Chicago takes this game? Hell no. Kyler is on a hot streak and shows no signs of stopping. The Arizona defense is competent, although not perfect. Black Ops 6 be damned, the Cards win this.

Predicted Final Score: Bears 21 – Cardinals 24

Jacksonville Jaguars (2-6) @ Philadelphia Eagles (5-2)

A Doug Pederson revenge game? In the year of our lord, 2024? So be it. I love seeing old members of a team get their revenge, how about we see it here too?

Predicted Final Score: Jaguars 24 – Eagles 17

Los Angeles Rams (3-4) @ Seattle Seahawks (4-4)

The Rams need a win to keep themselves in contention. They are finally somewhat healthy and the Seahawks are…okay? I think? The Rams win this pretty handily with their receiving duo of Kupp and Nacua.

Predicted Final Score: Rams 21 – Seahawks 14

Indianapolis Colts (4-4) @ Minnesota Vikings (5-2)

The Vikings are slipping a little and the Colts apparently think that benching their developing rookie quarterback for a 38 year old is a great idea. The Vikings take this but I’m not sold on them at all. Joe Flacco will have a couple flashes, but they won’t get too far.

Predicted Final Score: Vikings 42 – Colts 14

Monday, November 4th

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-4) @ Kansas City Chiefs (7-0)

The Buccaneers lost both of their wide receivers. The Chiefs are still relatively healthy on both sides of the ball. This game won’t be close, especially given that Kansas City would love to get a win over the only team that beat them in the Super Bowl in the Mahomes Era.

Predicted Final Score: Buccaneers 14 – Chiefs 27
